Building the World Mental Health Fund Library
When we started planning the World Mental Health Fund Library, the goal was simple: let anyone, anywhere, read real Mental Health literature without a paywall standing between them and understanding their own mind.
We're currently in licensing conversations with publishers and independent authors to build a catalog worth opening the doors on — not a handful of articles, but a real collection people can rely on. That work takes time to do right, and we'd rather launch with substance than launch early.

Why read-only, and why that matters
Titles will remain read-only, by design — protecting the authors and publishers who agree to make their work available at no cost, while keeping access completely free for readers. It's a deliberate trade-off: a slightly more restricted format in exchange for a much larger and more serious catalog than a purely user-generated library could offer.
We're prioritizing languages and regions that are currently underserved by existing Mental Health resources. Translation work in particular is slow and expensive — and entirely funded by donations.
What's next
We'll share a launch date as soon as the initial catalog is ready. None of this is possible without donor support covering hosting, licensing, and translation work. Every gift to the Fund helps bring this library online.
